Biwako Country Club is a 27-hole facility in Ritto, Shiga Prefecture, made up of three separate courses. The club opened in 1959, with the original design credited to architect Seizo Tomizawa. In October 2020, the Biwako course was renovated by Greg Norman Golf Course Design, updating one of the club's three nines while the others retain the earlier layout. The property sits in the Misono area of Ritto and can be reached from JR Biwako Line's Kusatsu Station, roughly a 20-minute taxi ride, or by car via the Meishin Expressway's Ritto Interchange. With three courses under one roof, Biwako Country Club offers more variety in a single visit than a standard 18-hole club, giving golfers a choice between the Greg Norman-renovated Biwako course and the club's other layouts dating back to the 1959 opening.
