Chigusa Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course laid out over hilly terrain in Shiso, Hyogo Prefecture. The 6,950-yard back-tee layout was originally designed by Peter Thomson and opened for play in 1975; Yukichi Kobayashi remodeled the course in 1991. Golfers reach the club by JR, via Tokusa Station on the Kishin Line or Ohara Station on the Chizu Line, or by car from Yamasaki IC on the Chugoku Expressway, roughly 40 minutes away. Caddy service is optional, and riding carts are used on the course. Weekday green fees start from ¥4,820 and weekend fees from ¥6,200. The club has an on-site bath for players after their round. Set in the hills of the Chugoku region, Chigusa combines a Thomson-era routing with a later redesign, giving the course a layered design history spanning more than four decades.
