Chikuma Kogen Country Club

Chikuma Kogen Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hilly course in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, playing 6,344 yards from the back tees. It opened in 1969 and was co-designed by Kinya Fujita and Colin Campbell. As a hilly-type layout, the course follows the natural contours of the terrain rather than the flatter ground found on Nagano's highland courses, giving rounds more elevation change over a shorter yardage. The club operates a fleet of ride-on, remote-control carts seating up to 4.5 people, and caddies are available on an optional basis for golfers who prefer them. After the round, the clubhouse has bath facilities. Access is set up for both rail and road travelers: golfers arriving by train can reach Togura Station on the Shinano Railway, roughly 20 minutes from the course by taxi, while drivers can use the Koshoku Interchange on the Joshin-etsu Expressway, about 30 minutes away. Located in the Yawata area of Chikuma City in central Nagano Prefecture, the course combines a hilly routing with modern cart technology and a post-round bath, a layout distinct from the region's flatter highland courses.
