Chiba, Japan
Daichiba Country Club, in Ichihara, Chiba, is a 27-hole, par-108 hillside course laid out across the Out, In and East nines and running to 9,950 yards. Opened in 1971 and shaped to follow the gentle contours of the Boso hills, it is best known for its access: the Ichihara-Tsurumai interchange is just two minutes away, making it the closest course to an expressway of any in Chiba, with check-in possible an hour from central Tokyo. Wide, forgiving fairways, often used for television filming, give way to receptive, undulating two-tier greens that reward a careful putter.
