It opened in 1965 and was designed by Yoten Yasuda. The club sits close to the Shin-Tomei Expressway, about 6km from Hamamatsu SA Smart IC and about 8km from Hamamatsu Hamakita IC, and by train the nearest station is Entetsu Line's Nishikajima Station, roughly an eight-minute taxi ride away. Carts here are fitted with cart navigation, giving players yardage and hole information as they move through the wooded layout. As one of the longer-established woodland courses on record, having opened in 1965, Hamamatsu Country Club offers a mature setting within reach of both the expressway network and Hamamatsu's rail line, making it accessible for day trips from central Hamamatsu.
