Haruna Forest Country Club is an 18-hole highland course in Kurabuchi, Takasaki City, Gunma, designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1996. From the back tees the course measures 7,054 yards, laid out across the elevated terrain that gives the club its name. Access is built around the JR Nagano Shinkansen: golfers can reach Annaka-Haruna Station and continue to the course by car in about 25 minutes, or use the club's reserved morning bus service, which runs one departure a day and requires a booking. By road, the course is about 34 kilometers, or roughly 45 minutes, from Takasaki Interchange on the Kanetsu Expressway, and about 15 kilometers from Matsuida-Myogi Interchange on the Joshin-etsu Expressway, giving drivers two route options from either the Kanto plain or the Nagano direction. The course combines a Nicklaus design with the elevated terrain typical of Gunma's highland courses.
