Opened in 1975, the hilly layout was built by Nihon Kokuu Shashin Co. and Takenaka Doboku Co., running 6,124 yards from the regular tees and 6,558 yards from the back tees. Riding carts are used throughout the round, and caddies are available on an optional basis for players who prefer one. After the round, the clubhouse offers a bath facility. The course sits close to Aso, one of Kyushu's volcanic highland regions, and is reachable by car in about 15 minutes from JR Higo-Otsu Station on the Hohi Line. Drivers from the Kyushu Expressway can reach the course in roughly 30 minutes from either Kumamoto IC or Mashiki Kumamoto Airport IC, making it a practical stop for golfers arriving via Kumamoto Airport. Weekday green fees start from 6,900 yen, with weekend rates from 10,000 yen.
