Set at 1,150 meters on the southern foothills of the Yatsugatake mountains in Yamanashi, Kobuchisawa Country Club is a highland woodland course where the fairways are framed by native white birch and larch. Despite the elevation, the layout stays remarkably flat, with an orthodox, low-blind design by pioneer professional Kokichi Yasuda that rewards strategy over power. Every hole opens to sweeping views of the Yatsugatake range, the Southern Alps, and Mount Fuji, while the dry highland air keeps summer rounds cool and comfortable. The club preserves a rare walking, caddie-accompanied style of play on immaculate bentgrass single greens.
