Mikanohara Country Club is a 36-hole golf complex in Kizugawa, Kyoto, made up of four nine-hole courses that combine for a par of 72. The woodland layout was designed by architect Maeda Kenzo and opened in 1961, making it one of the longer-established clubs in the Kyoto area. The club sits in Kasegayama, on the southern edge of Kizugawa city, roughly 20 minutes by taxi from JR Nara Station or 15 minutes by taxi from Kintetsu Nara Station. Drivers can reach the club via the Daini-Hanna Toll Road, about 15km from the Horai ramp. Caddy service is required for all rounds, in keeping with the traditional format common to courses of this era. With four nine-hole loops to combine, golfers have several routing options across an 18-hole round, giving repeat visitors variety without leaving the property.
