Nasu Golf Club is located in Yumoto, Nasu-machi, Tochigi, on the highland ground above the Nasu hot-spring district. The club opened in 1936 and plays 18 holes at par 72, with a back-tee yardage of 6,548 yards, one of the older courses in the Nasu area. It was designed by Seiichi Inoue, one of the most prolific golf course architects in Japan's pre-war and post-war history, known for laying out several of the country's long-standing clubs. The elevation of the highland site sets it apart from courses lower in the valley. After the round, players have access to an onsen bath drawing on the same hot-spring source the surrounding town is known for. The nearest shinkansen station is Nasu-Shiobara on the Tohoku Shinkansen line, and by car the club is roughly 15 to 21 minutes from Nasu IC on the Tohoku Expressway. The combination of an Inoue design and onsen bathing makes it a long-standing fixture of the Nasu golf circuit.
