The undulating terrain, vivid blue ponds, white sand, and green turf create a links-style landscape reminiscent of TPC Sawgrass. The signature 17th hole features one of only three Pete Dye island greens in the world, alongside TPC Sawgrass and PGA West.

Oak Hills Country Club holds a unique place in Japanese golf history as the country's first bentgrass single-green course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1982. Set on the Kanto Plateau in Katori City, the American-style woodland layout has hosted 11 professional tournaments including the inaugural Golf World Championship. The signature 16th hole features a commanding oak tree at 330 yards with a pond-fronted green.
