Toyo Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hilly course in Chonan, Chosei District, Chiba Prefecture. Designed by Hiromitsu Hasegawa, the course opened in 1971 and plays to a total yardage of 5,689 yards, one of the shorter layouts among the hilly courses of the Chonan area. Golfers drive themselves in self-service riding carts, and the club operates without caddy service, making it a self-play course throughout. The nearest access point by car is the Mobara-Chonan Interchange. The course sits in the same Chonan hilly district as Great Island Club and Golden Cross Country Club, part of a cluster of courses built into the inland hills of the Boso Peninsula. Its 1971 opening makes it one of the older courses in this part of Chiba, predating its neighboring clubs by more than two decades.
