Rokuzo Asami designed the course, which opened in 1978 and plays to 6,403 yards. Access by car runs through the Matsuida-Myogi interchange on the Joshin-etsu Expressway, about 8 kilometers from the club, while train travelers can reach Yokokawa Station on the JR Shin-etsu Main Line and continue by car in around 5 minutes. The club includes onsen bathing facilities on site, letting players soak after finishing their round in the surrounding hills. Opened in the late 1970s, Village East-Karuizawa combines the hilly routing common to courses in this part of Gunma with hot-spring bathing, a pairing found at a number of clubs near the Karuizawa resort area just across the prefectural line.
