Watarase Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 riverside course in Fujioka, Tochigi City, designed by architect Hideo Taguchi and opened in 1991. The layout plays to 6,628 yards from the back tees, one of two courses at the club. Riding carts are the standard mode of play, and the course permits fairway cart access, letting golfers drive directly to their ball rather than sticking to cart paths, a feature more common on flatter, riverside-style layouts like this one. Caddy service is not offered, so rounds are self-guided. Golfers arrive via the Tobu Nikko Line's Itakura Toyo University-mae Station, with a shuttle bus running to the club in about seven minutes, or by car from the Tohoku Expressway's Tatebayashi IC, roughly 10 kilometers away. After play, the clubhouse offers bath facilities. Opened in 1991, the club sits along the Watarase River basin, offering a full-length par-72 routing near the Tochigi-Gunma border.
